Teapots are an important part of a tea session. Those little Yixing teapots are simply adorable! Here are six classic shapes of Yixing teapots.

1. Hulu – calabash shape
2. Qinquan – inspired by a bronze weight from the Qin Dynasty
3. Nangua – pumpkin shape
4. Banyue – half-moon or half-sphere shape
5. Gongdeng – palace lantern shape
6. Meirenjian – “beauty’s shoulder” shape
