Which six tea types are there?

1. Green tea – tea with a low level of oxidation.
2. Oolong tea – tea with a medium level of oxidation.
3. Black tea – tea with a high level of oxidation. In China, black tea is called “red tea.”
4. White tea – the leaves are simply dried after harvesting, with minimal processing and no additional steps.
5. Yellow tea – similar to green tea but includes an extra step called “yellowing,” which gives the tea a smoother, warmer character.
6. Dark tea – post-fermented teas that undergo microbial fermentation. Pu-erh is the most common example. In China, this category is often referred to as “black tea.”
